off topic life moments

About

(intro)

It is always a bit awkward to introduce yourself in person (all the pressure of ‘making a good first impression).  At least in person, I could smile at you, look into your eyes and tell you who I am not just with words, but with actions as well.  But today I introduce myself to you, (although I don’t know your name, yet) and hope that we can become friends and perhaps one day I will see you face to face.

As you can see I can’t write without a bunch of parenthesis.  I love them!  I think that some of the best things in life come in the parenthetical moments.  You know the small (or big) interruptions!  Sometimes the parentheses are the best part.  It’s the moment that the writer is so compelled by a thought that he or she must deviate for a short commercial break, fill you in on something and then proceed to finish the point of the sentence.   Life is like that sometimes, well at least my life.  I haven’t always enjoyed the parenthetical moments, but over the years I have begun to appreciate them and learn from them.  Anyhoo, I think parenthetically and write parenthetically-reader beware!

I hope to encourage you, cry with you, laugh with you (so hard I might wet my pants!), and just be there  on your journey filled with parathetical moments.

Details (well some)

I am madly in love with Jesus; madly in love with my husband (most days); and crazy in love with my kiddos (most of them, most days!).

My drop dead gorgeous hubby, John and I have been married 25+ years and have almost 6 children.  Almost, well let me explain…we have four children that we have created (with the help of the master Creator) and we have a son-in-law and a daughter-in-law to be (June 25th is the big day).  Our kiddos are as follows in order of appearance:

Michael 24, Khaki 21, Allie 20, Dawson 18, Travis 21(Khaki’s husband or as we like to say Travis who’s married to our daughter), and Cassie 25 (soon to be wed to Michael!)

They have offered many a parenthetical moment (some great, some not so great)!  Let’s be honest-it’s family!

My faves (in life)

Brownies in a round pan with powdered sugar on top…Breakfast for dinner…Music playing in the house…Wearing an apron…snuggly robes and slippers…A warm puppy that sits close by (head resting on my ankles)…Fresh sheets…Summer days-(all of them!)…Water-(all shapes and sizes) …the first cup of coffee each morning…quiet moments reading the bible, writing in my journal and praying (not too quiet though)…people (lots of them)…Einstein’s bagels…sending or receiving mail (real mail, like through the post office)…long dinners with great friends…kids (all ages and stages)…shopping…reading…hanging out at the gym…
